Would you?

Recently I stumble upon across a blog. It is own by Mr Bob Rice, a professor of Catechism. While reading through his archive I found a post which writes:

I wish Catholics would:

-Drop everything and pray five times a day like Muslims
-Know their faith like Mormons
-Love the Bible like Protestants
-Have the evangelistic zeal of Jehovah’s Witnesses
-Think of themselves as “God’s People” like the Jews
-Love the Eucharist like we should

Wouldn’t that be somethin’?

I know this post was for Catholic, but it can be apply to all Christians.
And it made me realize.. Have we really been trying to get close with God?

  • Sure we pray.. But have we really made prayers part of our life?
  • Sure we have faith... But have we truly believe that God is with us in every situation?
  • Sure we read the bible... But have we really read it because we have a passion for the word or we read just out of necessity?
  • Sure we talk about God.. But do we have the courage to stand in our believe, the truth, even though the world will hate us?
  • Sure we know we are Christians... But have we really lead a Christian life?
  • Sure we receive the Eucharist... But have we truly believe that it is the body and blood of Christ our Saviour?
As a Christian we should go back to define us, which is LOVE, and try to see things differently.

We may be bias about other religions, we may even make fun of other religions, but don't deny that we can learn many things from them.

We may not have the courage to evangelize, but at lease we can try our best to lead a Christian life. Be nice to everyone, try to reach out when help is needed, try our best do complete the tasks that has been given to us, saying prayers, have faith in God in whatever we do... You will never know, but believe me all the little things that you do may touch someone's heart.

So, try to think back.. are you a Christian by faith or are you a Christian by name?
If so, what can you do to improve yourself?
If you don't know how.. well you can start by praying to God... I'm sure He will give you an answer.. But then again you may already knew it :)

May God Bless you all

Love,
Lionel
