Ashamed

Why is it so hard to tell the truth and yet so easy to tell a lie?

Why are we so sleepy in church but right when the sermon is over we suddenly wake up?

Of all the free gifts we may receive, prayer is the very best one... There are no costs, but wonderful rewards.

Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world is going to hell?

Isn't it funny how someone can say "I don't believe in God" but can still curse other people to "go to hell"?

Isn't it funny how we can talk freely about anything to our friends, even gossip or tell dirty jokes, but we think twice when we want to say something regarding the Lord? Because you are not sure what they believe in, or what they will think of you when you talk about the Truth?

Isn't it funny how we can be more concerned about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us?

Why are we ashamed of those things?

We try to keep God in church on Sunday morning, or any other services. We do want Him around during sickness and of course at funerals. However we don't have time or room for Him during work or play, because that is the part of our lives we think we can and should handle on our own.

I tell you, we should be more ashamed of that! We should always have the time to remember all He has done for us.

Mark 8:38
"If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."

May the love of God burn in our hearts with expectant energy so that we can energetically expect and patiently wait for the coming and the fulfillment of this love, so that we will be strengthened to go through whatever we are going through and to do what God wants us to do.

May God Bless us all in whatever we do.

Love,

Lionel
